1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SummarySnap ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

SummarySnap is a text summarization app that uses Apple's on-device AI (Foundation Models) to generate summaries and translations. All processing happens locally on your device. The App does not require an account, does not collect data, and does not connect to external servers for its core functionality. Optional iCloud synchronization uses your private Apple iCloud account.

3. Eligibility

SummarySnap is available to users of all ages. The App is rated 4+ on the App Store and does not contain any objectionable content. A compatible device is required: iPhone 15 Pro or later, or iPad with M1 chip or later, running iOS 26 or later.

You own your content. Any text you enter, summaries generated, and collections you create belong entirely to you. Since all data is stored locally on your device (and optionally in your private iCloud account), we have no access to your content and make no claims to it.

6. In-App Purchases

SummarySnap offers a free tier (5 summaries per day) and a one-time in-app purchase ("SummarySnap Pro") that unlocks unlimited usage and additional features including 5 summary templates, collections, meta-summaries, collection export, Share Extension access, and iCloud Sync. All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and refund policies. The purchase is non-recurring — you pay once and keep access forever.

7. iCloud Sync

SummarySnap offers optional iCloud synchronization to sync your summaries, collections, and preferences across your Apple devices. This feature is opt-in and uses Apple's CloudKit framework through your personal iCloud account. We have no access to data synced via iCloud. iCloud usage is subject to Apple's iCloud Terms of Service and your available iCloud storage.

8. AI-Generated Content

Summaries are generated by Apple's on-device AI model. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated summaries may not always be perfect. They should not be relied upon as the sole source of information for critical decisions. Always verify important details against the original text.

9. Intellectual Property

The SummarySnap name, logo, design, and code are the property of Ingvaldsen Utvikling. The App is licensed, not sold, to you for use under these terms and Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

SummarySnap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that summaries will be perfectly accurate. AI summarization quality depends on Apple's Foundation Models and the input text provided.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ingvaldsen Utvikling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for SummarySnap Pro.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
